Kevin Kneafsey, Ph.D.

Biography
Kevin Kneafsey is a senior investment strategist for the Global Client Strategy team at Allspring Global Investments. In this capacity, he takes a portfolio view in solving investment problems and seeks to make sense of financial markets in light of the unfolding trends. He joined Allspring from its predecessor firm, Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM). Before WFAM, Kevin was at Schroders Asset Management, where he worked as a senior advisor in the multi-asset group. Prior to that, Kevin served as the head of research for BlackRock’s multi-asset client solutions team. He held several senior positions at Wells Fargo Nikko Investment Advisors—which later became Barclays Global Investors—including chief strategist for the global market strategies group. He has taught classes at the University of Arizona in the Eller College of Management and at the University of California, Berkeley, in the master’s in financial engineering program at the Haas School of Business. He currently teaches at CalPoly San Luis Obispo. Kevin began his investment industry career in 1994. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and finance from the University of New Mexico and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Arizona.
